This error is caused by an application on the handheld named DataWedge. To disable it, please follow the steps below:
- Open the Start Menu on the handheld
- Select Settings
- Select System
- Select DataWedge
- In the "Running" section, flip the toggle to 'No'.
Once this is done, you should no longer receive the "Barcode read failed. Result: A0000023" error.
If DataWedge is not located there, it is likely located in the StartUp folder on the device and will need to be removed.
To do this:
- Go to Start
- Go to File Explorer
- Go to Windows
- Go to Startup
- Deleted DataWedge.
Once this is done, restart the device.
