Order Fulfillment Box Label Printing
The Order Fulfillment transaction supports optional box label printing to identify picked orders as they move through the shipping process. These labels help track containers during fulfillment and are distinct from shipping labels.
How it Works
On the Order Fulfillment transaction, you can enable printing box labels when the order is submitted. "Box" can represent any type of container such as a box, skid, or pallet.
When enabled, at submit the user is prompted to select the printer and enter the number of labels to print. This is not a shipping label but is used to identify the order for the items picked as it is then moved to the shipping process.
The label typically includes:
- GP Order Number — Often displayed as a barcode
- Customer ID — Customer identification
- Box count — Sequential numbering (1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3)
Like other label printing setup options, additional information can be added to the label as needed.
Requirements
Box label printing requires the label printing infrastructure to be installed. Reference the setting LabelPrintingForOrderFulfillment in the PanatrackerGP portal to enable this feature.
