How do I redirect a handheld to point to a new PanatrackerGP Portal? (v6.x and v7x)

To reconfigure a handheld device to connect to a different PanatrackerGP Portal, you need to delete the device's configuration file and re-register it.

Steps

  1. Exit the PanatrackerGP application on the handheld.
  2. Open the Start Menu (tap the Windows button in the lower left corner).
  3. Open File Explorer and navigate to \MyDevice\Application Data\Panatrack.
  4. Delete the configV6 (or configV7) file: - Hold down the stylus on the filename until a menu appears - Select the delete option
  5. Restart the PanatrackerGP application on the handheld.
  6. When prompted, enter the server information (found at the bottom of the Devices page in your PanatrackerGP portal).
  7. After receiving the "device not yet activated" message: - Refresh the portal's Devices page - The device should now appear in the list - Tap the Edit icon next to the device - Check the Active checkbox - Set the device to the desired profile - Tap OK
  8. Continue on the handheld to reach the PanatrackerGP Main Menu.
