Define maintenance activities for units that require scheduled maintenance. Before setting up maintenance plans, create Maintenance Templates under the settings area. Templates define the data to capture and an initial schedule for each maintenance type.
Creating a Maintenance Plan
Go to the Maintenance page to view the grid of units with maintenance activities currently defined. Select +New Plan Assignment to create a new plan. Units can have multiple plans assigned.
Plan Fields
- Select Unit — Choose the unit for the maintenance plan. The unit's item template must have the rule Track Maintenance Activities for this Item enabled. This rule is only available for serial-tracked items.
- Maintenance Type — Select the maintenance template to use.
- Frequency — If defined on the selected template, the frequency is pre-populated but can be changed per unit. If no frequency is defined on the template, enter it manually. Frequency can be based on days, weeks, or months.
- Last Maintenance Date — Record the last maintenance date if available. Defaults to the current date.
- Next Maintenance Date — Calculated from the Last Maintenance Date. Can be manually overridden.
- Description/Notes — Enter any additional information about this maintenance plan for the unit.
Maintenance Grid View
The grid view displays all units with a maintenance plan and their next maintenance date:
- Overdue — Past-due dates are displayed in red with an "Overdue" tag.
- Upcoming — Future dates are displayed in green.
Plans can be edited, including changes to frequency, next maintenance date, and description. Plans can also be disabled.
