Unit Maintenance

Unit Maintenance

Record maintenance activities for any serialized unit with the Track Maintenance Activities for this Item rule enabled on its item template.

All maintenance is completed against a maintenance template. Set up all maintenance activities regardless of whether a corresponding maintenance plan is defined. Attributes defined under the maintenance template are displayed for data capture.

Components can also be recorded as part of maintenance actions. Items available to select must have the Consumable for Maintenance and Usage Transactions rule enabled. Issued components display under the Components Used section on the left (portal) or in the components tab (mobile).

Unit Maintenance — record actions, capture attributes, and track components used

Transaction Fields

  • Maintenance Performed On — Select the unit the maintenance action is being performed on. If a maintenance plan is associated with the unit, the plan(s) and due date(s) display.
  • Maintenance Action — Select the maintenance action (template) being completed. The attributes defined for that action display for data capture.
  • Issue Item (Components Used) — Record components used during the maintenance activity. Components must be tracked in the system with the Consumable for Maintenance and Usage Transactions rule enabled.

The list of components issued displays during the current session until the form is cleared or you exit.

When the maintenance action is completed, if a maintenance plan is attached, the next maintenance date updates based on the defined frequency.
