Reason Codes with PanatrackerGP

Reason Codes with PanatrackerGP

Reason codes were introduced in Dynamics GP 2013. PanatrackerGP provides a way to use this feature on your handheld devices. Reason codes are also available for previous versions of Dynamics GP, but they are not configured in Dynamics GP and are not submitted with transactions unless a custom eConnect post procedure is used.

Set Up Reason Codes in Dynamics GP 2013

  1. Navigate to Inventory > Setup > Reason Code Setup.
  2. Enter or select a reason code.
  3. Verify that the Inactive checkbox is not checked.
  4. Configure transaction types: - For Add or Remove Inventory: Check Adjustment and select Increase Only (Add), Decrease Only (Remove), or Increase and Decrease (both). - For Site Transfer: Check Item Transfer. - For Item Bin Move and Bin Transfer: Check Item Bin Transfer.
  5. Save the reason code.
