Barcode read failed. Result: A0000023

Symptom

"Barcode read failed. Result: A0000023" error message appears on the handheld.

Cause

The error is caused by a handheld application named DataWedge conflicting with PanatrackerGP.

Solution

Disable DataWedge via Settings

  1. Open the Start Menu on the handheld.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select System.
  4. Select DataWedge.
  5. In the Running section, flip the toggle to No.

Remove DataWedge from Startup

If DataWedge is not found in Settings, remove it from the Startup folder:

  1. Tap Start.
  2. Open File Explorer.
  3. Navigate to Windows > Startup.
  4. Delete DataWedge.
  5. Restart the device.
