Disable Device Sleep Mode (Prevent Auto-Shutoff)

Adjusting the power settings on your handheld prevents the device from entering sleep mode during training or regular use.

Change Power Settings

  1. Tap Start (Windows logo).
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap the System tab.
  4. Tap the Power icon.
  5. Tap the Advanced tab.

Recommended Settings

During training or when you are first getting used to your device, apply these changes:

  • Battery power timeout — Increase the number of minutes before the device turns off on battery power.
  • External power timeout — Set to the highest available value to prevent the device from shutting off while plugged in.
  • "Turn off device if not used for __" checkbox — Uncheck this to disable the timeout entirely.

You can adjust these settings later once you are more comfortable with the system.
