Disable Device Sleep Mode (Prevent Auto-Shutoff)
Adjusting the power settings on your handheld prevents the device from entering sleep mode during training or regular use.
Change Power Settings
- Tap Start (Windows logo).
- Tap Settings.
- Tap the System tab.
- Tap the Power icon.
- Tap the Advanced tab.
Recommended Settings
During training or when you are first getting used to your device, apply these changes:
- Battery power timeout — Increase the number of minutes before the device turns off on battery power.
- External power timeout — Set to the highest available value to prevent the device from shutting off while plugged in.
- "Turn off device if not used for __" checkbox — Uncheck this to disable the timeout entirely.
You can adjust these settings later once you are more comfortable with the system.
