How to perform an IIS Reset

An IIS reset stops and restarts the web server process on your application server. It functions like a mini-reboot without affecting the rest of the server.

Steps

  1. Open Command Prompt as administrator: - Tap Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt - Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  2. Type iisreset and press Enter.
  3. Wait for the message "Internet services successfully restarted".
  4. Close the Command Prompt window.
