INIT error on Android device

This error typically appears as "INIT ERROR Version is not in the proper format." Follow these steps to resolve it.

Steps

  1. Log out and fully close the PanatrackerGP application on the device.
  2. Log in to your PanatrackerGP Portal and navigate to the Device Setup page.
  3. Find the device with the INIT error and delete it from Device Setup.
  4. On the handheld, press and hold the PanatrackerGP application icon and select App Info.
  5. Select Storage.
  6. Tap Clear Data and Clear Cache.
  7. Launch the PanatrackerGP application.
  8. Re-enter the Device Name and Server address. The server address is shown at the bottom of the Device Setup page (you can also scan the barcode under Device Setup for Android).
  9. Activate the device on the Device Setup page.
