Simple Keyboard Installation and Configuration Instructions
Simple Keyboard is the recommended replacement for Gboard on Android handheld devices. It resolves virtual keyboard display issues and uses less screen space.
Install Simple Keyboard
Open the Google Play Store from the Home screen or App Drawer.
Search for and select Simple Keyboard.
After installation completes, tap Open.
Enable Simple Keyboard
When prompted that Simple Keyboard is not enabled, tap OK.
Turn on the Simple Keyboard slider. Turn off the Gboard slider. Press the Back key.
Adjust Keyboard Height
Tap the Appearance button.
Then tap Keyboard Height.
Adjust the slider to 80% and tap OK. Press the Home button. You can adjust the height to suit your preference and device screen size.
