Site Transfer Fails with eConnect Error 1356 "Batch Is Currently Being Posted"

Symptom

Submitting a Site Transfer in PanatrackerGP fails, and Dynamics GP rejects it through eConnect with error 1356 (stored procedure taIVTransferHeaderInsert): “Batch is currently being posted.”

Cause

The Batch ID assigned to the transaction has a status of Marked in GP, preventing the batch from posting. This may occur when an automated posting solution is enabled and the submit happens while the posting solution is processing the batch.

How to Fix

  1. Re-submit the transaction later.
  2. Or, check the Batch status in GP and update it to Available.
