The life cycle for Windows Embedded Handheld devices

Microsoft ended support for Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 (WEHH 6.5) in January 2020. However, many organizations continue to use these devices, and Panatrack continues to support PanatrackerGP on this platform.

Panatrack Support Commitment

Panatrack continues to support PanatrackerGP on Windows Embedded Handheld devices well beyond Microsoft's end-of-support date. The useful life of these units extends past their stated end-of-life, and Panatrack is committed to supporting customers who still rely on them.

Transition to Android

PanatrackerGP is fully available on the Android platform. The transition is designed so you can run both Windows Embedded Handheld and Android devices together, replacing aging units on your own schedule.

Recommended Android Devices

Compatible devices must support Google Mobile Services (GMS), which is standard on most consumer and industrial Android devices. See the full list of supported hardware.

Software Updates

If you are current on your Panatrack annual maintenance, PanatrackerGP Android software updates are included at no additional charge. Panatrack professional services may be required for installation, configuration, and training during the transition.

Contact Panatrack to discuss planning for your transition to Android.
