Release Notes August 2022
This release primarily adds support for the new Deployed status. A deployed unit is treated similarly to an available unit but is typically assigned to internally owned stationary assets that retain a specific facility and area location. Deployed units can optionally have a user assigned as custodian.
Support for deployed-status units has been added to the following mobile and portal transactions:
- Move Unit — Move a unit from one area to another in the same facility.
- Transfer Site Location — Move a unit from one facility to another.
- Replace Handle — Replace a handle (e.g., asset tag).
- Build Unit — Add and remove component (child) units for a deployed master (parent) unit.
- Retire Unit — Update a retire date or change status to Disposed.
- Unit Maintenance — Record maintenance actions on deployed units.
- Validate Unit (mobile) — Complete periodic validation of deployed units in an area or assigned to a user.
Other Feature Adds
- The Build Unit transaction on portal was updated to support removing returnable components. This is a separate transaction on mobile but will eventually be combined.
- A new transaction-level rule for Receive New Unit supports defaulting the Receive For team to the user's current logged-in team.
- Additional columns added to the Build Component Grid View, including facility and area location based on the master unit.
- A new setting for the Item Unit Grid View defines which status options to display. Optional statuses include Checked Out, Deployed, Reserved, In-Build, and In-Transit. These each have separate grid view inquiries but can also be added to the primary view.
Item Unit Grid View status display settings
- The primary Item Unit Grid View now lets users customize shortcuts to other grid views: Below Minimum Quantity, Build Unit Component, Checked Out Units, Deployed Units, In-Transit Units, Item Masters, and Stock Level Grid.
Customizable grid view shortcutsThis release also included additional mobile testing with several minor improvements and corrections, along with minor portal enhancements.
