Release Notes July, 2021

General Improvements

  • Separated open and closed status for reservation grid view.
  • Added additional data fields for user setup: Department, Role/Job Title, and Notes (text fields).

Check Out Transaction

  • Added the ability to remove a unit from a pending check out.
  • Moved the check-in area assignment to the start of the transaction for faster capture when checking in multiple units.
  • If a unit with checked-out status is selected to reserve or check out, an on-the-fly check-in option is now available. The unit can then immediately be added to the new reservation or check out without leaving the transaction.
  • Check-out period and expected return date fields are now enabled based on an item template rule. These fields are hidden when not enabled, allowing different rules for different item types.

Check In Transaction

  • Return To (area assignment) field remains defaulted after the first item is checked in for the session. The assignment can still be changed as needed.
  • Added a list of items checked in during the active session.
  • Added a link to the Check In transaction from the checked-out units grid view.

Receive New Unit Improvements

  • Received From field updated to select either a vendor or customer. Vendors and customers must be set up in the system.
  • Added a Received For field to support receiving units on behalf of another team. The received unit is assigned to the selected team as owner (when tracking ownership by team), and the units are received in custody of the current team/facility.
  • Added the ability to set the first entered attribute value as a default when adding multiple units for the same item master. Setup is part of the item template unit attribute configuration.

Transfer Custody Transaction Improvements

  • The existing transaction was renamed Transfer Site Location to better represent its function.
  • A new Transfer Custody transaction was added to support transferring checked-out units to another user or project without requiring separate check-in and check-out steps.
