The Community User type has been removed. Two new user types replace it:
Additional user management improvements:
A new dashboard for the Custodian User type. Custodian users can log in to view items in their custody. If an item reservation has been shipped, the custodian can receive the in-transit shipment, marking items as checked out to them. A mobile app was also added for custodians.
A new item type that does not track quantities or individual units. Used for information capture only, added to the Unit Maintenance transaction as a component that can be issued. For example, record spark plugs or motor oil used for vehicle maintenance without inventorying those items. Item Masters are still set up for selection on the transaction.
Additional Item Master setup to define a primary stock area location by facility. Future enhancements will add logic for the Put Away transaction and order picking.
New setup options for customers to define the customer type:
Sales Customer type will be added in the future.
A new Unit History Inquiry for serial-tracked items to view transactional history. Includes filters for item templates and item masters.
Under Settings > Organization:
Multiple enhancements to the transaction logging interface. More specific logs added for each transaction type — for example, Check Out history shows Checked Out From and To information. Update Unit log shows original and updated attribute values. Receipt transaction history includes a sub-grid with all units received and a detail summary with total quantity by item master. A new Deleted Units log tracks anything deleted, with the option to capture a reason.
Major overhauls to shipping logic with the addition of Custodian User and Custodian Customer types. A Check Out Reservation can now be selected for shipping, enabling in-transit tracking to a custodian user who can then receive the items. A custodian customer can be shipped items, with returnable items marked as checked out to the customer.
A new Setup Checklist on the top menu bar guides new customers through system setup in the correct order, with links to each setup page.
The main Dashboard received a facelift with cards displaying information such as past due and upcoming maintenance activities, number of users with checked-out items, and the user's currently checked-out items. The history feed was also improved.
Quantity-tracked items can now be validated using the Validate Unit transaction. When a user selects an area, expected units are logged. As each unit is validated or counted, the log updates. Adjustments are made for quantity-tracked items with variance calculations. For serial-tracked items, the last validation date is recorded on the unit record. Additional area setup supports defining which areas are available for validation (removing staging areas or docks that hold temporary items).
Two new system attributes for standard reporting: Item Master Unit Cost and Purchase Unit Cost. Item Master Unit Cost is a standard attribute on Item Master setup. Purchase Unit Cost can be added to serial-tracked items as a unit attribute or as a transactional attribute for quantity-tracked items.
A new transaction supporting the return of previously shipped serial-tracked units to a customer or internal facility that did not record in-transit receipt. Units with Shipped status are available to return.
A new grid view displaying all units that are part of a group with their corresponding Group ID, removing the need to drill down to group details.
